The Cartier Santos de Cartier Skeleton reference WHSA0019 reinterprets one of the Maison’s most recognizable watch designs through an architectural openworked display.
The origins of the Santos trace back to 1904, when Louis Cartier created a wristwatch for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, allowing him to read the time without removing his hands from the controls of his aircraft.
In this contemporary skeletonized interpretation, the movement’s bridges form the Roman numerals of the dial. Rather than placing a conventional dial above the mechanism, the calibre itself becomes the watch’s visual structure.
The combination of a stainless-steel case and bracelet with an 18K yellow-gold bezel gives the watch a distinctive two-tone presence, while visible screws preserve the industrial character associated with the Santos collection.

The stainless-steel case is framed by an 18K yellow-gold bezel, creating a refined contrast between satin-brushed steel and polished precious metal.
The hand-wound Manufacture movement consists of 138 components and 20 jewels, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with an approximate 72-hour power reserve.
Blued-steel sword-shaped hands provide clear contrast against the openworked mechanism, while the seven-sided crown is set with a faceted blue sapphire.
The integrated steel bracelet features the SmartLink adjustment system, allowing individual links to be removed without the use of traditional watchmaking tools.
Cartier’s QuickSwitch mechanism allows the bracelet or compatible strap to be detached from the case through an integrated release system.
